Ponds
We design and built ponds of any size and shape from a small pebble pool to a large garden pond.Wildlife ponds have become very popular as they don’t require the same amount of maintenance as fish ponds. They are typically shallow with an abundance of marginal plants and can be built to blend in with the existing surroundings of the garden by using natural stones and boulders as edging. Wildlife ponds will attract frogs, newts, birds and even hedgehogs.
Garden ponds intended to house fish are generally deeper than wildlife ponds. They are typically designed as informal and natural looking ponds with boulder edging but the actual design is entirely down to your personal taste and your existing garden. Features such as pond lights, fountains and waterfalls are always attractive additions.
All our pond installations use only quality materials to ensure a long lifespan. Extra thick underlay prevents roots from growing through and sharp stones from damaging the liner. For pond lining we tend to use the gold standard Firestone PondGard EPDM liner with a 1mm thickness.
Water Features
If you like the soothing sound of water but your garden isn’t suited for a pond or you have small children then a stand-alone water feature could be just the right choice. There is a huge range of self-containing water features to choose from in terms of style, traditional to contemporary, and material – stone, resins, timber and metals. We can advise you on choosing the right water feature for your garden to suit your taste and budget. Whichever you choose, we install your water feature to the highest standard.
