The most important part of your patio will not be visible – the foundation. We always excavate the foundation to the optimum depth, install a permeable Geo-textile membrane to aid weed prevention and implement Type 1 MOT hardcore which will then be compacted. Depending on your choice and style of patio material, most paving will be laid onto a solid wet mortar bed, for greatest strength and durability.
